Meet the visionary behind our journey, Taufiqul Karim Suhrid, a seasoned professional who has reshaped the ICT landscape of Bangladesh with his pioneering spirit and unwavering commitment to excellence. With a career spanning decades, Suhrid has been at the forefront of technological innovation, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
Technology Marketer, System Analyst, Software Designer, Network Planner and Support Engineer, Project Manager — Suhrid is the second generation in the ICT industry from Bangladesh. He began his career in the pioneer software company of Bangladesh, IBCS-PRIMAX, introducing Microsoft products in Bangladesh since 1995. With a proposal of “SMART ID for every citizen of Bangladesh,” he presented his vision alongside Abu Ahmed, who helped him to bring that dream to life.
He introduced Sun Microsystems Inc., competing with global solution giants like IBM, DIGITAL, COMPAQ, and HP, and became the first Sun Support Service Engineer in Bangladesh to achieve installation permissions across organizations like AERE, SRDI, and telecom operators GP, AkTel, and Sheba — supporting installations in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Myanmar.
Suhrid initiated the national software service industry platform — a vision of his father, A. Towhid. He contributed tirelessly behind the scenes to the establishment of BASIS, helping shape Bangladesh’s software industry from its foundation.
Serving companies like CNS Limited and TechnoVista Limited, he later joined Ericsson AB as Project Manager for Grameenphone’s telecom infrastructure. He oversaw multiple MSC and BSC installations and played a vital role in the southern belt microwave connectivity and GPRS solutions during the early 3G development era.
With Orascom Telecom, Suhrid was instrumental in the acquisition and rebranding of Sheba Telecom into Banglalink. As a cross-functional manager, he supported technical, marketing, HR, and customer care teams — becoming the first Bangladeshi Management Board Member within Orascom. His Environment, Health & Safety policy was recognized by IMF and the World Bank, setting a global telecom benchmark.
Leaving Bangladesh in 2011, Suhrid continues to contribute globally while keeping his vision for his homeland alive. His initiative, ShoppersLink, evolved into Fingertips Innovations Ltd., a venture transforming creativity and innovation into sustainable success.
Believing in “Togetherness leads to achievement” and “Empowering women who dream with vision,” Suhrid remains devoted to inspiring change. He never forgets his roots and continues to take bold initiatives to represent Bangladesh with pride on the global stage.
Shahzeb I Husain
Shahzeb I Husain has been working in the Information Technology arena for over 28 years, including 20 years of expertise in Information Technology Security Governance, Privacy, and Cyber Security. With proven leadership across technical teams, he has demonstrated exceptional ability to lead, manage, architect, design, plan, and implement enterprise-level IT solutions and security infrastructures worldwide.
Mr. Husain completed his SSC from St. Joseph High School and HSC from Notre Dame College, Dhaka. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Microwave and Microprocessor from the United States, as well as an Executive Master’s in Business Administration in Finance and Business Management.
He served in leadership roles at IBM Corporation (US) and Ernst & Young (E & Y US), where he worked in various capacities, including Architecture, Engineering, and Senior Executive Management.
Currently, Shahzeb leads global architecture and enterprise teams, focusing on Cloud Solutions in Distributed Infrastructure, IT Strategy, Data Analytics, and Enterprise Security Transformation. His work in Systems Integration, Vendor Management, and Cybersecurity Consulting has helped drive technological excellence across industries.
With extensive experience in IT Security Architecture, Mr. Husain has demonstrated solutions delivery expertise in network design, application delivery, cloud components (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS), mobile device management, and data protection technologies.
He is also the Managing Director of A & A Consulting and Datapark BD Limited, headquartered in the United States and Bangladesh. His ventures specialize in Application Development, Cybersecurity Products & Services, IBM and Oracle Solutions, Fiber Optic Systems, Healthcare Information Management Services (HIMS), and Business Software Solutions for Retail, Garments, and Industrial Infrastructure.
